The general thought and action around here - led (more or less) by an endocrinologist and rheumatologist - is to not use fosamx as a preventative. I believe it is only used around here if there is a densitometry done showing some loss etc. All the densitometries read with any loss have a first recommendation is usually the HRT with exercise. Calcium and vitamin D. J Bulley

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
