any clues?From: Dr. Amarnath Bhide/Rajendra Deshpande (amarnath@bom2.vsnl.net.in)Thu Jul 10 12:34:26 1997
A 22 yr old G1 registered for AN care at 16 weeks. 19 weeks scan was normal. No risk factors. A visit at 23 weeks, I was unable to document FHS on stethoscope/doppler. No symptoms. An urgent USG documented severe oligoamnios and IUFD. BP normal. She aborted after 24 hrs of EA ethacridene and a shot of PG. Foetus too macerated to look for anomalies. placenta externally normal. The couple is anxious about future pregnancy. Any clues to the present mishap? No bleeding/trauma/fever or other infection. Dr. A.G. Bhide.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
