atypical endometriumFrom: Ingrid Andenas Chamales, MD (chamales@brookings.net)Sun Jun 29 16:17:18 1997
CASE: 59 year old obese hypertensive female, no ERT, postmenopausal bleeding, with atypical complex hyperplasia on D and C. She does not want further surgery. I have seen reference to provera 30 mg q day, rebiopsy in 3 to 4 months, also high dose megestrol acetate. Or is surgery an absolute? Ingrid Brookings, SD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
