In a message dated 6/23/97 6:23:43 AM, you wrote: <<I have no objection to your conclusion, but the reasoning leaves something to be desired. Do you encourage your new mothers to eat the placenta? Lick the baby clean? Push the new baby to walk within minutes or hours?>> Hmmmmm. Mixing mammals, huh? While herbivores and carnivores may eat their placenta, sometimes, and lick the baby, primates usually don't. Nor do primates push their babies to walk within hours (usually only herd animals do). Chimps and gorillas simply carry their young around for quite a while, until they can hold on by themselves and such. But I digress. If we're talking "natural," then why on earth do we discuss mode of delivery, GBS strategies, and this thread about PPTLs? Hey, like I've said before, it's natural to die in childbirth or in the newborn period. It USED TO happen all the time. And you can look THAT up in your Funk & Wagnall's. LOL THE MAN <Hate it when it does that...>

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
