Re: Postpartum tubals - Where?From: ATFSOCCER@aol.comSat Jun 21 08:17:08 1997
In a message dated 97-06-20 21:27:49 EDT, you write: << I would agree. It is more cost effective and convenient to the patient to do tubals in the postpartum period. The failure rate is also much less than when done in the interval state per the most recent studies. >> I am going with the PPTL as well. Also higher incidence of ectopics with the LSTL with cautery (27/1000 procedures) vs. PPTL (1.5/1000 procedures).

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
