I too was taught this by one of ny attendings during my residency over 25 years ago, but still have never seen any corroboration or controlled study, LOL To add one more tidbit to this discussion...I remember reading that masturbation, and constant rubbing and stimulating the labia minora can cause them to hypertrophy? Any other cooroboration for this? Is there a cause for labia minora hypertrophy. It also seems worse in parous than nulliparous patients.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
