Unless it's changed lately, I don't think military CNM's get specialty pay. I personally think they should, since they "shoulder" (see "shoulder dystocia" thread, full pun intended) the liability and the call just as much as OB docs. But at least now the change to the "flight" system in medical centers means that higher ranking nurses are able to assume positions (such as Flight Chief) of higher responsibility/prestige.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
