Should a patient with a stage 1a2 cervical cancer which has stromal invasion out to the lateral edge of the cervical specimen (moderately differentiated tumour)but no parametrial involvement and evidence of lymphovascular space involvement but not nodal mets on a Wertheims specimen,CIN 3 in the vagina but clear margins, should she have additional treatment with pelvic radiation? and if so what is the evidence that this treatment will make any difference?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
