Well, I know I'm telling on myself when I say that the most recent Life Table I have in the house is from 1970 (I was a demographer for career #1, and am on career #5 now), but even then, not separating by race or gender (the 63 yo was a white female, both of which increase the life expectancy over the average), the average number of years of life remaining for 60-65 year olds was 18.5 years, plenty of time to get the child thru high school, but maybe not a lot of time to spend with the grandkids.

>Sure do! Why is the age limit 55? What this means is that junior is
bringing a 73 year old mom to his/her high school graduation, if in fact she lives that long. Does anyone else see this as selfish and cruel? As I heard on NPR today, "Is it right for us to be allowing the creation of a generation of orphans?" There needs to be more regulation in this area.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
