MRCOG Part II DissertationFrom: Danny Tucker (danny.tucker@dial.pipex.com)Tue Apr 29 09:43:14 1997
Have any of the UK consultants been asked to mark the new Dissertations for the Part II exam yet? As its a new beast, I'm wondering if you've been given any more guidance by the College on marking it than we have on preparing it? I'm getting preparation together for a review of 'Significant Cardiac Diease and Pegnancy' including a presentation of 2 cases I've been involved in the management of: Primary Pulmonary Hypertension leading to a post-partum cardiac arrest and a Myocardial Infarction at 37/40. A couple of people have been less than enthusiastic about this, suggesting that this is more like an old-style long case. Some locally say an in-depth review like this would be fine, others don't know what to suggest. Any advice? Cheers, Danny. ----------------------------------------------- Dr Danny Tucker ----------------------------------------------- Senior SHO Obstetrics & Gynaecology -- ----------------------------------------------- Derby City Hospital, UK -----------------------------------------------

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
