Female circumcisionFrom: Cyril J van Gelderen (vangel@pixie.co.za)Sat Apr 19 12:17:16 1997
We are starting to see cases of infibulation from farther north in Africa. Some of them have pretty severe fibrosis and introital constriction. We have generally gone for CS for delivery, and I guess there is not much choice during pregnancy. Does anyone have any experience of plastic repair done as an interval procedure, and especially, of obstetric performance and sexual function afterwards?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
