Quite different. The indication is the induction of labour at term

Here's the way i use it

Insert a Foley catheter with a 30 ml balloon in the cervix till the inferior pole of the egg, then inflate it. Infuse normal saline in the catheter at 60 ml per hour. Carry on till the catheter falls. The cervix is at 3-4 cms. Or stop after 6 hours
