While I was training, the chief of the dept. quoted several studies of fetal outcome with poor weight gain during several sieges during World War II, his quote was that in spite of maternal wasting the difference in fetal weight was relatively small and the outcomes were good. I do not have the references and Medline search starts in the sixties.

All bleeding eventually stops, so why worry.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
