I am practicing gynecologist, and I have a patient who is suffering of ideopathic thrombocytopenia and is reciving treatment to mantein platelet count in normal level. She is interesting to be pregnant, so that I have alredy searched in medline, however I did not find data about the risks for both the mother and the newborn, since she has to continue her treatment during pregnancy ( it should be with steroids). I would like to know if someone has information regarding a major center in the USA that manages a large number of patiens within this category, so that I may contact them.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
