Even though you can't really address the issue with much scientific authority, I think it's a good idea to explore it with your patient before you tell her it has no adverse effect.

It's important to know the nature of the stress. Financial - is she working 2 jobs? Marital - is she being subjected to physical abuse, or maybe STDs ? etc..etc..

Does her stress level interfere with her ability to eat or rest normally?

You probably can't do too much about it other than to reinforce healthy coping.
