If both AFP and BHCG are raised there should be a high expectation of current or imminent fetal demise. These values may also be associated with other trisomies and triploidy.

If they don't experience IUFD and chromosomes are normal then watch like a hawk for pre-eclampsia, APH, IUGR and everything else.

Hope whoever did the amnio told her an IUFD was likely even without the amnio and she's not blaming the amnio for the death !
