I would proceed with some caution in this regard, since - in general - insurance covers a particular percentage of reimbursement costs (e.g., 80%; pt pays deductibel and co-pay). If you discount the total cost of care, you may be perceived as fraudulently *overbilling* the insurance carrier if you don't discount the insurance piece proportionally.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
