Re: Placenta percretaFrom: OWSMITH@aol.comFri Jan 31 16:39:16 1997
I was asked about the previous delivery of out pt and it took me awhile to talk with her to get the information. She is a G5P4 with last preganancy 22 mo. ago. With the third pregnancy, she had a previa and palcenta accreta and was delivered by c/s. She hemorrhaged at delivery and required 4 units of blood. The first two pregnancies were normal with no complications. She stated that her OB told her that" when he opened her up, placental vessels were right there", so I have to assume she actually had a perccreta. She will be coming into the office on Monday so any information anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Martha Ann Smith

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
