I do, when necessary, an injection of sterile air in the umbilical cord (or intra-cardiac) under US. This avoids inapropriate baby's cries at delivery & allows you to practice umbilical blood sampling.

Inappropriate baby's cries in late 2nd-3rd Trimester mean that the victim is no longer a fetus, and that you are appropriately a candidate for 1st degree murder charges. Try resolving such issues 5-7 months earlier. You'll sleep better, too. Try some good education for your patients and offer them some other choices.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
