The Cochrane database is quite >>clear on this. are you just talking about gestation DM here? even with the "need" for inulin in addition to diet to keep BS in the low ranges we are accustomed to using in pregnancy?? how does one know that the diabetic patient first dx'd at 24 weeks pregnancy is not diabetic <hyperglycemic> prior to the pregnancy?? If there were no sugar screens to prove euglycemic status prior to pregnancy I would have a hard time not treating this patient..I was trained to treat GDM and I would have a hard time not tracking BS's and responding with a diet..etc..prn. <prn from my training.> SHOW ME THE MONEY <the data> cuz I don't want to show the plaintiff's attorney in a brachial plexus/macrosomic infant case his/her 33%. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
