Singapore - reflective practice and questioningsFrom: stephanie (stephani@singnet.com.sg)Wed Jan 29 23:20:17 1997
Dear friends and colleagues I have a few questions related to nursing practice. Could you also pass this mail to your other colleagues? I truly appreciate your assistance. To generate reflective practice within a conservative and non-research oriented culture, I find that, as an action research facilitator, paying attention to the use of succinct questionings help to engage people in reflective thinking and interactive reflection. I look forward to your responses to these questions: 1. What is the extent of nurses engaging in critical reflective practice within your health care settings? 2. How do you, or others, engage in critical reflective practice? 3. Recall a situation in which a nurse was not reflective. What could be the causal, contextual or intervening factors for her or his non-reflective practice? Thank you in advance for your responses. Please reply to me using my email address: stephani@singnet.com.sg If need be, I will gather the responses and forward the final collation to those who request for it. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
