Re: Prozac and PregnancyFrom: Allen Gardner (allen.gardner@utoronto.ca)Tue Jan 21 18:28:48 1997
Greetings, Prozac does not seem to be teratogenic. I have had a number of patients go through pregnancy on Prozac, or at least on Prozac during the 1st T and fetal development was fine. Counselling must always put this into the context of 3% of newborns having some type of congenital problem. Notwithstanding all this, I still offer a detailed 2nd T US. I subscribe to Reprotox to get info on pregnancy effects of drugs and other exposures. I'm at home now and the info is at the office but if anyone wants the address please let me know. Can anyone on this list use the ACOG Resource Centre for help? I'm not an ob-gyn, just an interested bystander. Allen. =============================================================== On Tue, 21 Jan 1997 13:24:55 -0500 richardc@bcm.tmc.edu wrote:

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
