Solution to too much OB-GYN-L mail!From: Roberta Speyer (roberta.speyer@OBGYN.net)Tue Jan 21 16:06:39 1997
Terry brought up a point today that I thought deserves clarification. THE PROBLEM: Many people enjoy the list but don't want all the messages clogging up their mailbox. If you go with the Digest version then you can't view the messages as they come in or sort by subject. And, if you go on vacation and forget to postpone...Oy Vey!!! THE SOLUTION: USE THE WEB VERSION OF OB-GYN-L It is accessible from the Home Page of OBGYN.net. Scroll down to the blue OB-GYN-L logo and click on it. Click on the blue button to post a new message. Click on the purple button to see the latest messages to the list. Below the buttons are options to view past months or search by author, thread, subject, or key word. Once I got used to using this version I started using it exclusively. Now greedy and horrible speller that I am, I'm pushing for an online Spell Checker. If you decide to use this version you can bookmark the page and just pop over any time you want and check the latest gab. IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: If you have kept your browser open you will need to click on the RELOAD button. Your local computer will cache the page so you need to press Reload to get the latest messages off the server as they come in all day long. TO GET RID OF THE EMAIL CLOGGING YOUR BOX: Go to the URL: http://forums.obgyn.net/forums/ob-gyn-l/ Click on the blue text that says: subscribe to the forum When you get to that page click on the blue text: Unsubscribe You will see a box. Enter your email address and click on submit. You are now unsubscribed from the email version. No more email OB-GYN-L messages. You can still read messages as they come in, post messages that will update almost immediately, and even search the archives. It's no different than being on the email list except you don't have to use your disk space. It's all the same messages linked by hypermail in a special program designed by Bruce, my husband. You will have access to ALL the same messages and be able to post and reply as you have always done. If anyone is using this successfully (or unsuccessfully) we would appreciate your feedback.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
