No; Secretions coming from squamous cells are quite of little importance. The advantage of this procedure is that you use a strong living tissue (vagina) perfectly well tolerated in the Retzius space. Two points must be considered: - The risk of sub-cutaneous infection -> prophylactic Antibiotics, - The risk of bladder wound -> have the cystoscopy "easy" (or systematic) if you have any doubt.
