Re: What would you do, new caseFrom: LMCNM@aol.comSun Jan 12 23:28:09 1997
Personally I draw a toxemia panel, put the patient on a high protein diet, have her go to bed and come back in two days. I tell them to call immediately if they develop signs and symptoms of pre-eclampsia and I wait for the lab results that will be back in the AM. One of our back-up MDs is not too happy with this plan and he wants immediate induction-- while the other 2 are ok with it. I have ACOGs policy but it is of little use when the backup doesn't agree with you. Lonnie Morris CNM, ND

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
