This is exactly how I was raised; and if they have it, you induce and you cover with Mag. Once out in the real world, right or wrong, I found that not everyone did that like they did at the university medical center.

I believe the most recent ACOG tech bulletin (oops-educational) mentions expectant management with an unfavorable cervix at term.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
