Re: What would *ya'll* do, new case, update againFrom: Larry Leeman (zuni@well.com)Sat Jan 11 11:35:19 1997
Garry Siegal wroteShe was seen today after the weekend of bedrest, with stable BP 130 to 140/80 to 90, trace protein, 2 pound weight loss, no symptoms, reactive NST. Her cervix is now 0/50/-3/soft/mid. She is 39 1/7 weeks, good dates. I plan to see her in 3 days with a NST, and likely bite the bullet and induce with PG ripening prn next week at 40 weeks. Garry I don't think we have a clear diagnosis of preeclampisa and would question the need for induction with BP not high enough to dx preeclampsia and trace protein. I would check a spot urine protein/creatine ration and if less than 0.3 continue epectant management with NST surveillance. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
