Hi, I have definitely seen OC failures with Ampicillin and 7-7-7-, especially while working at Planned Parenthood. I would hate to look these clients in the eye if I hadn't told them there was a chance of failure. Ultimately, it their choice if they use a backup method. I agree the chance may be small, but they are contracepting for a reason.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
