i agree - this patient sounds like a patient with pregnancy induced hypertension. it is only when all the observations and lab results are available, that you will know for sure what you are dealing with. the old concept of treating BP and proteinuria is wrong. PIH is a syndrome with markers (BP and protienuria) - the severity of the markers does not always correlate with the severity of the syndrome.

Yes, I'd like to see a CBC, LFTs, Urea and Electrolytes and a Uric Acid. Cost doesn't play a role here, because you have a diagnosis to mmake.

I'd admit her and observe her BP. If it settles and the lab stays normal one can hold off the induction but if not, one can do it.
