Re: PAP Smear after TAHFrom: JoeFeste@aol.comTue Dec 31 19:34:11 1996
I have been performing hysterectomies for 30 years in private practice. Before this last year I only saw an abnormal pap occasionally. I am following 5 patients I've sen in this year, no of whom had previous changes on their cervical specimen. Four of five have HPV. HPV wasn't as prevalent ten to thirty years ago. So be careful about the article in the journal.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
