Pre-admit observation:("OB-exam") if intact membranes, cephalic Home: if no active labor by ext mon, clinical assess of cervix, normal fhts Admit: if rom, active labor,abnoormal presentation,abnormal fhts Admission tests: baseline ext mon; no labs Labor: no shave, no enema; IV onlly as indicated:non-reassuring fhts,epidural,dehydration, encourage up and eat, jacuzzi. Analgesia: stadol, combined or contnuous epidural, paracervical. Delivery: standard del pack(no suture material, no forceps or vacuum) bulb syringe only. Disposable under-butt drape and bag(great!) Epis as needed, local or pudendal. Post-partum: ice pack (rare), ibuprofen, Darvocet, ty 3 (no stool softeners) , Hgb @ 12-24 hours. Homein 24-48 hours.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
