The polemical thesis that all health care must conform to evidence-based standards is right in there with "Stars and Stripes" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic" when comes to getting me puffed up. The problem is that it is so dreary in going about patient care when the outcome data does not exist. Makes me feel awful every time a 75 yo leaves the office after an annual visit.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
