I've been using micronized progesterone alot and most of my patient love it compared to MPA -- less irritability, less headaches, less bloating, for example. With CC therapy I rx estrogen (often 35 mcg estradiol) and 50mg progesterone BID (literature that I don't have handy suggests Bid dosing achieves a steadier state), and with cyclic, just use a total of 200mg progesterone the first 12 days of the month. Women's International Pharmacy and Health Pharmacy, both out of Wisconsin, are excellent suppliers. They will also send you copies of articles. If you want the phone #s, e-mail me and I'll get them for you (they're at the office, I'm at home)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
