Interesting question. When I started practice (dark ages, circa.'73), we never did Pap for anyone who did not have hysterectomy for genital CA. However, in 1993, there was a ACOG Committee Opinion stating that in a monagamous relationship, a screening should be done every three years. I thought that was rediculous, but given the AGOG statements, began to do this. Also, had several patients inquire that their friends had been told they needed to continue to have annual Pap even without history of genital CA. Even had one patient become seriously angry enough to leave the practice after 8 years of care because her friend's doc told her not doing Pap was dangerous!!! Sometimes I am convinced we are our own worst enemies.
I don't found any background for asking for "antibodies" as a routine
in a rH positive pregnant women
> We still routine Rh and Type and find a number of positive antibodies Ditto Gordon

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
