Thre was an article in a recent NEJM which also showed that pap smears after Hysterectomy unless patient had a h/o CIN/SIL/Ca was not needed. I stopped doing paps in those patients (no abnormal hx) about 1 year ago, after reviewing our paps done as a routine in patients with hysterecomy and not one showed any VAIN.

We still routine Rh and Type and find a number of positive antibodies Anti C, Le etc.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
