Re: Endometrial stripeFrom: KELLY SHANAHAN (mks@sierra.net)Mon Dec 30 12:29:59 1996
I use ultrasound a lot to evaluate both "DUB" and PMB. If the endometrium is thickened, I'll instill some sterile saline thru an IUI catheter. I've found quite a few submucosal fibroids and polyps this way and have avoided an operative procedure for the patient.(BTW, we don't -- and I imagine alot of other people don't-- have an office hysteroscope)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
