Re: ERT/HRT and breast cancer deathsFrom: Philip Suarez, M.D. (philip@ICSI.Net)Tue Dec 17 19:39:17 1996

You clearly explain that these findings are consistent with the fact that those on ERT are more likely to have routine, annual examination and mammography. Because they are more compliant, they are more likely to have the "diagnosis" of the disease made, but not necessarily the poor outcome of death. The diagnosis is made in compliant patients, typically, in a more curable stage. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
