If you do not use a viricidal agent you will possibly be transmitting HPV virus , as was demonstrated about 10 years ago when there was an enormous increase of CIN 3 in the North London Hospital in 1-2 years. The viral types were HPV16/18. At that time, the British were not sterilizing their specs., but felt that this oversight was a significant factor in the observed increase. JGB

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
