Re: amniotic bandsFrom: rbraun@indyunix.iupui.eduWed Dec 11 10:58:58 1996
I would refer the patient to a center with a person trained in doing "Extensive" "Focused" or "Level 2" ultrasounds. most likely if all they saw was the band with no fetal anomalies, this is not an amniotic band syndrome. It is more likely some kind of a "web" or septum(my words) I have seen many of these with no fetal complications. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ R. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
