Various answers - It seems that the odds are in favour of induction. IMHO there are no "why not's" ... except ... the oligohydramnios.

I would like to join you in the other part of the question.

If there are some signs of cord compression during labor - How do you do the amnioinfusion? What and how much? Do you heat the solution? Do you do it with ruptured membranes?

In our hospital there are 5000 deliveries a year and this is a common situation. We have no experience with this pratice but it seems reasonable, and perhaps it could help with reducing the rate of CS for fetal distress.

Thanks to you all

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
