Re: breech in nuliparaFrom: Ira Mark Bernstein (ibernste@zoo.uvm.edu)Tue Dec 3 13:53:36 1996
>Several participants in this discussion are stressing that >only full/complete breech should be allowed the vaginal >route (in the nullipara). Why is this? Or is there a misunderstanding >on my part of the English terminology? The double feet+breech (sitting >Bhudda) presentation is the most favourable regarding dilatation >of the cervix. I believe that the position you are describing is referred to as a complete breech in the US literature. It presents with breech presenting and flexed hips and flexed knees. The frank breech has flexed hips and extended knees. IRA

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
