Re: breech in nuliparaFrom: bclaure (bclaure@club-internet.fr)Tue Dec 3 12:31:53 1996
Of course breech in nullipara is not a sufficent reason to perform a CS. Like for all breeches it is necessary to have the quasi certitude that the pelvis is competent (ultra-sound & X-Ray pelvimetry) before accepting the vaginal route. And the main thing is the trial of labour and the way the dilatation will go. As for the pediatricians there's no evidence of a superiority of CS on vaginal delivery except for some indications (low birth weight premature fetus) Remember our CS of today will be our wounded uteruses of tomorrow. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
