fetal heartFrom: =?iso-8859-2?Q?Agata_W³och?= (cornet@infomed.slam.katowice.pl)Tue Dec 3 07:23:31 1996
I'm pediatric cardiologist and I'm interested in fetal echocardiography. I have a pregnant patient 34 weeks of gestation, and I noticed during examination enlarge fetal heart and small fetal chest ( comparing with fetal abdomen). The diameter taking on the level of atrio-ventricular valves is large for gestational age (in four chamber view scan) and the ratio: heart area to chest area is much bigger than should be. The heart anatomy is normal, the function of the heart is correct. Infection history during pregnancy is negative. About what should I think ? Lung disease ? The echogenicity of the lung doesn't look like in cystic adenomatoid lung malformations. Who can advise what to do ?? Thank you Agata Agata Wloch cornet@infomed.slam.katowice.pl

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
