23y/o pt with primary amenorrhea. Was seen by a medical endocrinologist at age 18 and he placed her on ever increasing doses of estrogen. Pt got very sick and quit after two months or so. No bleeding during or after estrogen therapy. Exam: Ht 5' 7" Wt 137# Breast Tanner stage 2. Pubic hair development Tanner stage 3. Nl vagina, very small cervix. Uterus barely palpable. Ovaries not palpable. Previous ultrasound showed uterus measuring 3x1.5x1.7cm. No ovaries definitely identified. PRL and TSH normal. FSH 89, LH 19. Karyotype pending. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
