I've had an assistant do this, but once you have your hand under the head I don't understand how it can help any more. It's not like the baby has just its neck stretched out & all it needs is a push upwards toward the body; the whole baby is down low & it's the fundus that's preventing delivery. Anyone used halothane or another uterine relaxant to help?

Danny.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
