Rick I would recommend that you call the social worker and have him/her come to your office or hospital wherever you are seeing the patient and see the patient right then. If you start getting too involved in an area you are not trained for, you might be setting yourself up for big trouble. This nice little girl might get great joy out of setting you up and then taking you down the tubes. On the other hand she could be everything she seems. You need an expert to help you out. Immediate Social Service consultation, just like you would get an immediate Surgical consult for an acute appy. (Which BTW you are much more qualified to care for I would guess.) @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ R. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
