ABOGFrom: Kenneth J. Moise (kmoise@bcm.tmc.edu)Tue Nov 26 18:30:53 1996
Unfortunately, the ABOG takes a very hard line in individuals trained outside of the US. Today, only a residency in Canada is recognized by ABOG as an equivalent to the US residency. Clearly there are other residencies that have equal to or better training than those in the US (for instance South Africa) but these are not recognized. I know that ABOG is not recognized by the Royal College. Maybe we could all get together on this one day. Ken Moise Baylor College of Medicine

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
