Twin Twin TransfusionFrom: Carlos Rubio (crubiol@meditex.es)Mon Nov 18 04:38:18 1996
Dear list: Do you remember the TT syndrome case I put in the list few weeks ago? Well, the polihidramnios of the recipient twin was decreasing while the amniotic sac of the donor was increasing in volume, over the last 4 weeks. There was not signs of congestive heart failure in the recipient so I did not perform an amniotic membrane septostomy, just wait and see. She is now 21 weeks and the growth velocity of the babys are OK, but still the donor one is a bit below the recipient, but it seemed that is catching up with his brother. Also the bladder distension of the recipient is no longer visible, but there is still a mild degree of stomach dilatation. I couldn´t observe any other abnormality on this twin (despite my ultrasound machine is not an state of the art). Anyway, thankyou again for your oppinion. Yours sincerely
