Re: 2nd trimester bleedFrom: rbraun@indyunix.iupui.eduWed Nov 13 05:10:56 1996
In order to diagnose abruption by US, it has to be a real big bad one. Usually you don't need US for those. Also remember ABRUPTION and PLACENTA PREVIA are THIRD trimester bleeding. A frequent (moreso than thought) cause of this kind of bleeding may well be placenta circumvallata, which by the way is frequently associated with and probably causes IUGR. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ R. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
