Makes sense, but..... many of us already do that with our prophylactic Ancef with c-sections(don't want ot get into discussion on necessity of this without ROM)... the real question in my institution has been, should we be giving antibiotics for elective c/s with intact ROM in GBS and if so need it be 4 hours prior to delivery as recommended for vaginal delivery GBS prophylaxis. Mitch

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
